Used for identifying and tracing wires within a group without damaging insulation

Tone generator applies a tone (choice of three) to a single wire or pair

Amplifier probe is then used to trace the audible tone and identify the wire

    Amplifier probe has volume control

Suitable for twisted pair cables, coax, and AC wiring (de-energized)

Both instruments are powered by 9v PP3 batteries (included)

Kit includes probe, tone generator, RJ45 lead, alligator clip lead, flat probe tip and a soft carry case

The VDVII tester provides a lower cost tester for checking the wiring integrity of CAT5e/6/6A twisted pair installations to T568A/B (RJ45 port)

Checks structured cabling for wiremap, opens, shorts, miswires, and split pairs

Includes an RJ11/RJ12 port for voice cable testing

F type connector interface for checking coaxial cables for opens and shorts

Easy to read LCD display with PASS or FAIL indication

Tone generator function for cable tracing and fault finding (using an optional tone probe)

The VDVII includes one remote that is placed at the far end of the system under test. The remote is stowed in the base of the instrument when not in use

A pack of 12 numbered RJ45 wiremap remotes can be purchased separately to speed up testing by reducing the toing and froing (i.e. allows you to place 12 remotes in outlets and then perform 12 tests consecutively at the panel)

The instrument recognises the remotes and displays the number of the remote it is connected to on the LCD to aid cable identification

A pack of 24 ID-only RJ45 remotes is also available to help identify cable runs during system audits/cable tracing. These ID remotes cannot be used for wiremap checking

A pack of 12 ID-only F type coax remotes are available for identifying satellite coax runs

Supplied with one RJ45 wiremap remote, an F-coax ID remote and 9V alkaline battery
