    The FBP-P5000i microscope probe plugs into a laptop computer (not supplied) via USB port and includes FiberChekPRO software for the display and automatic analysis of fibre optic connector polish quality

    By automating the evaluation of the connector the FiberChekPRO software removes human subjectivity and provides consistency in fibre inspection

    This allows the implementation of standardized procedures for inspection throughout networks

    The software provides a simple pass/fail result based upon the selected criteria. Programs are provided for singlemode and multimode connectors and can be user defined to produce in house standards

    The software can also inspect to IEC 61300-3-35 allowing contractors to demonstrate compliance to an internationally recognised standard

    The results and images can be archived as an HTML or PDF file

    Supplied in a case complete with 2.5mm (e.g. ST, FC & SC) & 1.25mm (e.g. LC & MU) patch cord tips plus LC and SC patch panel bulkhead tips

    The FBP-P5000i is also compatible with a number of JDSU OTDR and service test platforms giving a true inspect before you connect and test, field-portable workstation. These instruments also support the automated pass/fail analysis

    The FBP-P5000i can be used with the MTS-2000, MTS-4000 and MTS-6000A OTDR platforms and the MTS-5800 and HST-3000 service testers

    It can also be used with the HD4i handheld display
